“Playgrounds” è un album che non ha molto senso, è infatti un live che contiene quasi solamente pezzi tratti dagli ultimi due lavori dei Sieges Even eseguiti in maniera molto simile alle versioni “da studio”. La band probabilmente non si sente molto legata ai brani più vecchi (prima di “These Empty Places”, canzone più vecchia, viene dichiarato che sono dispiaciuti di suonarla, ma che lo devono fare) e vuole dare di sè un’immagine legata a quanto fatto ultimamente, tuttavia, ripeto, che senso ha riproporre solo pezzi nuovi ed oltretutto senza nemmeno stravolgerli? L’acquisto di un cd del genere è inutile… Va comunque dato atto alla band che si sente che il suono è dal vivo e che non ci sono stati molti ritocchi in studio, però non basta…
Insomma, “Playgrounds” è formalmente sufficiente ma a mio avviso inutile, piuttosto compratevi direttamente gli album, se volete.
