American rockers COLD have signed a worldwide deal with Napalm Records. The band’s next studio album is expected to arrive in 2016.

Said COLD frontman Scooter Ward in a statement: “COLD is honored to join with Napalm Records! We look forward to making music with a company that has kept Artist integrity intact.”

Added Napalm A&R representative Sebastian Muench: “We are absolutely excited to announce the signing of Jacksonville’s alternative / hard rock band COLD! ‘Year Of The Spider’ (2003), ‘A Different Kind Of Pain’ (2005) and ‘Superfiction’ (2011) are among the most relevant and creative rock albums of the last decade or so… tracks like ‘Suffocate’ and ‘Stupid Girl’ are simply brilliant! We are looking forward to a successful partnership!”

COLD‘s fifth studio album, “Superfiction”, sold around 11,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 37 on The Billboard 200 chart. The CD was released on July 19, 2011 via Eleven Seven Music/SonicStar Records.
