Metal Wani Editor In Chief Owais ‘Vitek’ Nabi had a chat with Suicidal Tendencies frontman Mike Muir.

In Part 1, he discusses the upcoming new album World Gone Mad, fan response to new singles released so far, why the band faced a lot of heat in the past and why they don’t care, 70 shows so far with new band member Dave Lombardo, how the fan response changed since the time Dave joined the band, working with Dave Lombardo and how he brought new ideas to the album. He also throws light on bringing in new influences into the album, recording vocals for the album, writing lyrics related to current situation in the world, how we wrote the songs, lyrics and vocal lines during the songwriting process and why the band feels confident for this upcoming release.

In Part 2, Mike talks about the Misfits reunion tour with Dave Lombardo, how Dave is the perfect drummer for the Misfits gig and how Dave Lombardo changed the entire mindset in Suicidal Tendencies camp. He also throws light on whether World Gone Mad might be the final album of the band and plan to release an ‘politically influenced’ new EP, which is about the upcoming United States President. He also talks about how the future of Suicidal Tendencies is based on his family, getting big touring offers for 2018, various countries they are planning to tour and much more.

World Gone Mad will be the first Suicidal Tendencies album to include drummer Dave Lombardo (ex-Slayer) and guitarist Jeff Pogan.

Suicidal Tendencies recently posted video from their performance at Fortarock Festival in Nijmegen, Holland on June 5th. The band were back in Europe for festival dates and headline shows with former Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo once again be behind the kit. Lombardo previously played drums for Suicidal Tendencies on their February/March tour with Megadeth.
