SEBASTIAN BACH Blasts DONALD TRUMP For Invoking God's Name While Speaking About Mass Shootings

Sebastian Bach has slammed President Donald Trump for making a religious appeal in his speech on Monday in response to the weekend’s mass shootings.

In his remarks from the White House, the U.S. president said he joined in the grief and outrage over the “two evil attacks” in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, in which more than 80 people were killed or wounded. “We ask God in heaven to ease the anguish of those who suffer and we vow to act with urgent resolve,” he said in his address.

A short time after Trump‘s remarks, Bach, who frequently criticizes the president’s policies, took to his Twitter to write: “That’s weird because God told me about 45 minutes ago that he wants to vomit because you would allow this to happen over and over again to the citizens that He created. In the Bible, leaders that allow this illustrate the bad parables, not the GREAT ones. Stop using His name”. Sebastian also included a vomiting face emoji.

Earlier this week, Bach lambasted Trump, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Vice President Mike Pence and other Republican leaders for their inaction on gun regulation. “You and your useless Republican party don’t give a fuck about the safety of the citizens of the USA,” the former SKID ROW singer wrote in response to a tweet of consolation from Ohio Senator Rob Portman. “Your ‘prayers’ are a slap in the face to the 30 people who were mowed down yesterday because of your uselessness.”

A month earlier, Bach made headlines when he said that he “would do a better job” running the county than Trump.

In a 2018 interview with TheRecord.com, Sebastian revealed that he “voted for Hilary” in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.

“I don’t understand how anybody would accept a reality-show host as president instead of a politician,” he said. “It’s insanity. It’s like starting a band and your first show is at Toronto SkyDome. You gotta build up to it.”

Two years ago, Bach told Music Injection that things had gotten particularly bleak in the months after Trump took office.

“Well, since Donald Trump became president, Facebook became not fun for me,” he said. “Every headline sucks, everything sucks and I get to the point where I can’t take it! All of that news, constantly, day after day, week after week, it gets me down and it gets me in a bad mood.

“I don’t know about everybody else, but when I read about nuclear war, I find it hard to get on with my day,” he added. “I thought we got rid of that nuclear war conversation in the ’70s! It gets [me] very sad and angry at the same time. Climate change makes me angry. It makes me mad that people deny that when the world is fucked. It makes me furious.”

Sebastian recently confirmed that he was preparing to make the follow-up to his 2014 album “Give ‘Em Hell”.
