Primal Fear bassist and Rock Meets Classic master of ceremonies Mat Sinner has checked in with the following update:
“We’re back from very creative orchestra rehearsals in Prague and can promise the Rock Meets Classic tour 2016 will be very special! And we’re proud to announce that Veronika Lukešová is the new drummer of the Mat Sinner Band. Veronika played percussion for RMC since 2012; enjoy watching her performing on the Kiske / Somerville video clip ‘City Of Heroes’!”
Rock Meets Classic, the annual European tour featuring classic rock artists backed by a band and full orchestra, will feature Europe vocalist Joey Tempest, former Kansas frontman Steve Walsh, The Sweet members Andy Scott and Peter Lincoln, Midge Ure of Ultravox fame, German metal queen Doro, Thin Lizzy’s Scott Gorham and Ricky Warwick, and former Nazareth frontman Dan McCafferty for their 2016 European tour. They have issued the following update:
Rock Meets Classic features the Bohemian Symphony Orchestra Prague and The Mat Sinner Band, the latter including Primal Fear members Mat Sinner, Alex Beyrodt (guitars) and Tom Naumann (guitars), and also featuring Voodoo Circle’s Jimmy Kresic (keyboards), Veronika Lukešová, drums, Tiffany Kirkland (backing vocals), Kolinda Brozovic (backing vocals), Gabriela Gunčíková (backing vocals) and Sascha Krebs (backing vocals).
Last summer Rock Meets Classic performed two special festival shows in Germany at Rock Of Ages and the Wacken Open Air on July 31st and August 1st respectively.
Featured artists for these two exclusive shows included Dee Snider (Twisted Sister), Joe Lynn Turner (Rainbow), Michael Kiske (Unisonic, ex-Helloween), Marc Storace (Krokus) and Jennifer Haben (Beyond The Black).
