I Jupiter VI sono il progetto parallelo del cantante chitarrista Jimmy P. Brown della prog metal band Deliverance, gruppo del quale proprio di recente è stato ristampato River Disturbance. Rispetto al suo gruppo madre Jimmy Brown cambia completamente sonorità preferendo scrivere una manciata di brani rock dal forte sapore retrò degli anni settanta-ottanta, ma con un’attitudine un po’ più moderna. Sarebbe infatti molto inopportuno pubblicare un album di un nuovo progetto che prosegua sulle orme di un’altro, meglio metter ein risalto uno dei molteplici aspetti e delle influenze musicali del poliedrico musicista, che tanto zoccolo duro di fan ha in terra tedesca.
Pertanto ci troviamo di fronte a delle canzoni che uniscono il cantato di David Bowie a un rock vagamente glam, sufficientemente punkeggiante, e debitore a gruppi quali The Strokes e The Killers. Le dieci canzoni (più una ricantata in tedesco in omaggio al suo zoccolo duro di fan) sono il frutto del lavoro di un musicista esperto che sa come ottenere brani semplici e diretti, quanto efficaci che catturano sin dal primo ascolto con efficaci ritornelli e incisivi e improvvisi cambi di tempo.
Da segnalare la bellissima semi ballata Mimes Hill, la grintosa Back From Mars, la punkeggiante The Human Endeavor, la space rock Corporate Stiff, nonostante le altre siano tutte da sentire in quanto tutte diverse e ognuna.
