JEFF SCOTT SOTO – “If I Have To Live Out The Rest Of My Career Doing Somebody Else’s Legacy, To Me It Would Be Like Being In A Cover Band”

Lawrence Gowan of Styx and Jeff Scott Soto of S.O.T.O. join Mitch Lafon on a new episode of One On One With Mitch Lafon. Whitesnake’s Joel Hoekstra co-hosts (and briefly discusses the band’s new The Purple Album).

In the first interview, Gowan discusses the band’s upcoming AXS-TV and Blu-Ray live concert event: Live At The Orleans Arena Last Vegas, the progress of the next Styx studio album, their 2015 summer tour with Def Leppard and Tesla, the battle against cancer that his wife won, the Juno awards, his involvement with select charities including The Scarborough Hospital Foundation and McDermott House Canada (serving veterans).

In the second interview Jeff Scott Soto discusses his new band S.O.T.O., his new album Inside The Vertigo, his future, and his time with Journey.

Soto on his current band: “S.O.T.O. is my life right now. If I have to live out the rest of my career doing somebody else’s legacy – to me it would be like being in a cover band and that’s just not me.”
