In December 2013, AVENGED SEVENFOLD celebrated its No. 1 album, “Hail To The King”, with a sold-out arena tour, taking in Manchester, Birmingham and London’s Wembley Arena. They followed that with an awe-inspiring headline slot at Download festival in June 2014, cementing their unshakable reputation for breath-taking live performances.

Now the band is set to return to the U.K. bigger and badder than ever. They have announced an eight-date U.K. tour for January 2017, with DISTURBED as special guests and IN FLAMES opening. The dates, which include London’s 02 Arena, go on sale on Friday, July 29 at 9 a.m. priced £45/£37.50 regionally and £45/£37.50/£30 for London (subject to booking fee) via LiveNation.co.uk and Ticketmaster.co.uk.

The details:

Jan. 10 – Glasgow – The SSE Hydro
Jan. 12 – Newcastle – Metro Radio Arena
Jan. 15 – Sheffield – Arena
Jan. 16 – Manchester – Arena
Jan. 17 – Birmingham – Genting Arena
Jan. 19 – Cardiff – Motorpoint Arena
Jan. 20 – Nottingham – Motorpoint Arena
Jan. 21 – London – O2 Arena

It’s not clear when AVENGED SEVENFOLD will release its seventh studio album, since the band announced earlier this year that it was attempting to sever its contract with Warner Bros. Records.

At the end of 2015, AVENGED SEVENFOLD notified Warner Bros. that they would not render services to the label, citing Section 2855 of the California Labor Code, which limits the duration of personal-services agreements to seven years — the so-called seven-year statute.

The label sued the group in January for breach of contract, claiming the band owed it another studio effort and a live set on its existing deal.

The band said in a statement: “Since we signed with the label, Warner Bros. has had three different regimes, multiple heads of marketing, and none of the senior management or A&R executives who were at the company and responsible for signing us are still there.”

AVENGED SEVENFOLD‘s previous two releases, 2013’s “Hail To The King” and 2010’s “Nightmare”, both topped the Billboard album chart.

The band’s new drummer, Brooks Wackerman, joined AVENGED last year after the departure of Arin Ilejay.
