TEXTURES Release “New Horizons” Lyric Video

Dutch poly-rhythmic metal maniacs Textures will release the first of their upcoming two albums, Phenotype, on February 5, 2016 via Nuclear Blast. The second record of the musical diptych, Genotype, will be released one year later.

Now, the time has come for the band to present the first new track off Phenotype to their fans. “New Horizons” is the first single of the fifth album. The Dutch sextet offer modern metal at its finest for over a decade. No fashion compromises, no “fast food” music. “New Horizons” represents everything the band has faced in the past five years and above all, the future of Textures. An honest, catchy, and boisterous metal track.

The new virtuosos Uri Dijk (synth) and Joe Tal (guitar) deliver a new, harmonic vibe to the mature Textures sound. Genotype, which will be released a year later – is a 45-minute long conceptual track. The root material, Phenotype consists of, is presented in this song, but in a totally different context. Textures go out-of-the-box. More proggy, more atmosphere and lots of extra layers to fill the last gaps left in this extensive, double rollercoaster ride.

In support of Phenotype, Textures will hit the European stages in February 2016.
