SAMMY HAGAR Still Waiting On $1.4 Million Custom-Ordered Ferrari - "I'm Thinking They Meant Christmas 2015"

Red Rocker and former Van Halen frontman Sammy Hagar recently spoke with Yahoo Autos about a $1.4 million Ferrari LaFerrari that he custom-ordered in October 2014. He is reportedly still waiting for the car to be delivered.

“Last October, I went to Italy to visit Ferrari with my wife, Kari, and the folks there said, ‘Don’t worry about a thing, you’ll have your car soon,” Hagar says of the $1.4 million Ferrari LaFerrari that he custom-ordered in white with black and beige accents while touring the Maranello factory for the first time in his Ferrari-loving life. “They said, ‘Sammy, a few months, maybe Christmas,’” he sighs. “Man, now I’m thinking they meant Christmas 2015.”

“Sammy is on our mind,” says Emmanuel Turin, Ferrari of San Francisco’s marketing director. “We can honestly say we don’t know when his car will be ready. But we are trying to work on something special for him.”

St. Louis radio station KSHE 94.7 FM recently confirmed that Hagar is now part of their weekly programming. The Red Rocker’s show will air from 4:00pm to 6:00pm every Sunday.

Hagar’s program is called Sammy Hagar’s Top Rock Countdown and is described on its website as “a two-hour weekly show where Sammy counts down anything he wants. One week might be his favorite party songs, the next his favorite band NOT in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame or the best songs from a year or decade. The music is safe for Classic and Mainstream Rock formats.”

Hagar: “With my own radio show, I’m going to do for radio what I did for Cabo: create something that promises more fun than the average adult should be allowed to have,” Hagar said in a press release. “Drinking tunes, songs for sex and fast cars — Top Rock Countdown will be my life in music. After more than 40 years in rock & roll, I’ve got a lot of knowledge, a lot of love and always a lot to say, so this is going to be a blast.”

Speaking with Las Vegas Review-Journal’s Doug Elfman, ex-Van Halen singer Sammy Hagar discusses his former band’s new live album, Tokyo Dome In Concert.

“I’m trying to tread lightly on the whole thing,” Hagar says. “Every time they do something, I’m like, ‘Oh my God, can these guys do anything worse to their reputation and to the level of the music of the band?’”

Doug Elfman can’t believe Van Halen even released the album with David Lee Roth’s voice sounding like it does.

“They’ve got some pretty rough vocals,” Hagar said of Roth.
