OF MICE & MEN Cancels More Shows Following AARON PAULEY's Surgery

OF MICE & MEN has pulled out of the first six shows of its previously announced U.S. tour with BEARTOOTH so that bassist/vocalist Aaron Pauley can have enough time to recover from his recent surgery.

The band explained in a statement: “On Monday, April 8th, Aaron became aware of a medical issue requiring immediate surgery. The surgery was performed yesterday without incident, and the issue is currently being evaluated. He has been advised that the absolute minimum recovery time is two weeks from today. Therefore, we’re sorry to report that we have no choice but to cancel the start of our dates with BEARTOOTH. As it currently stands, we will now be starting the tour at So What Festival in Houston on April 27.”

Pauley added in a separate tweet: “Thank you all for the understanding and support! I’ll be able to share more info in the future, but just know that I’m safe, healthy, happy, and on the mend!”

Apr. 20 – Sioux City, IA – Anthem at Hard Rock Casino
Apr. 21 – Wichita, KS – Cotillion
Apr. 23 – Des Moines, IA – Wooly’s
Apr. 24 – Springfield, MO – The Complex
Apr. 25 – Memphis, TN – Minglewood

Last month, OF MICE & MEN scrapped its concert in Hartford, Connecticut after Pauley was taken ill.

OF MICE & MEN recently released a video for a new song called “How To Survive”. The clip was directed by Zev Deans (DENZEL CURRY, GHOST).

OF MICE & MEN spent much of the fall hunkered down in the studio working on new material with producer Josh Wilbur.

“How To Survive” is the first taste of new music from the Southern California quartet since last year’s much-praised “Defy” album.

“Defy” marked OF MICE & MEN‘s first full-length release without vocalist Austin Carlile, who left the group due to his ongoing battle with Marfan syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that afflicts the connective tissue holding the body’s cells, organs and tissue together.
