SHINEDOWN‘s new song “Cut The Cord” can be streamed below. The track, which is being released as a single today (Monday, June 29), is taken from the band’s fifth album, to be released this summer via Atlantic. The record was produced by SHINEDOWN‘s Eric Bass and follows 2012’s “Amaryllis”, which produced No. 1 singles “Bully” and “Unity”, as well as Top Five singles “Enemies”, “I’ll Follow You” and “Adrenaline”.

SHINEDOWN will embark on a very special summer tour, the platinum-certified rock band’s first major trek in more than two years. The dates will see SHINEDOWN visiting theatres and other intimate venues across the country, performing a unique set that will include classic hits, deep cuts, and best of all, new songs from upcoming CD. NOTHING MORE will serve as support on the bulk of the headlining dates.

SHINEDOWN frontman Brent Smith told The Pulse Of Radio a while back what he thinks makes for a successful live show. “The people that come and see the shows, they don’t want to see you just stand there and look as if it’s their privilege to see you,” he said. “It’s totally the other way around, and I think that you have to embody that and I think that you have to be very respectful of your fans, and I think that you have to literally give every single ounce of your mind, body and soul on that stage, and quite frankly they don’t deserve anything less.”
