JOHN 5 Performs VAN HALEN's "Somebody Get Me A Doctor" Live With Bassist MICHAEL ANTHONY; Video Available

On February 11th, Rob Zombie guitarist John 5 performed at the Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood, CA. During his set he was joined on stage by former van Halen bassist Michael Anthem to cover the classic VH song “Somebody Get Me A Doctor”. Check out the footage courtesy of California Rock News below:

Michael Anthony was recently interviewed by Eddie Trunk. Michael, while laid back and candid, shared his disappointments about being estranged from Van Halen – without sounding bitter. Highlights include:

– Michael hasn’t spoken to the Van Halen brothers since the 2004 tour.

– Back in 2002, on the eve of the Sammy Hagar and David Lee Roth Tour: Song for Song, the Heavyweight Champs of Rock and Roll, Eddie Van Halen gave Mike an ultimatum and implied that if Michael did that tour, he would be out of Van Halen. Michael was shocked, angry, frustrated, and ended up doing the tour anyway.

– Michael says he hasn’t yet listened to the A Different Kind Of Truth album all the way through.
