Guitarist DAVE REFFETT Seeking Substitute For China Music Messe Convention In October 2016

World-renowned guitarist Dave Reffett (Shredding The Envelope) has checked in with the following message:

“Need a guitarist to appear/sub for me on a few days of the China Music Messe Convention show (October 26th – 29th). Must be available to arrive in China on October 25th, must have clean record, passport and ability to get a Chinese visitor visa. Flight and hotel will be paid. Most meals covered by the company, no per diem though. So, your walking around money/exploring the city money is on you if chosen. Serious inquiries only.

Send me some videos, brief career history etc. Need to get this locked in within the next week or so. Due to my schedule I can only appear for one day, so I need a sub for the remaining days. Your job would be to play to backing tracks, entertain the passers-by at the convention, show off the products etc. Thanks.”

Contact Reffett via Facebook Messenger here. Serious inquiries only.

Back in August 2015, Reffett penned an article for Guitar World offering up what he deems the 21 greatest KISS songs. An excerpt is available below:

“I Still Love You” – KISS Unplugged

Reffett: “This is a really well-written song and on this version Bruce Kulick makes the acoustic guitar sing like very few have ever done. Also Paul turns in an unbelievable vocal performance here holding one note out for what seems like ten minutes. Another favorite for me on this one is ‘Sure Know Something’.”

“Stand” – Sonic Boom

Reffett: “I loved the Sonic Boom album; there are a lot of cool songs on that one. This one stands out because that Beatles and Mott The Hoople influence is very evident. I love the chorus; it reminds me of ‘All the Young Dudes’. The harmony vocal part after the guitar solo is great and reminds me a lot of the harmony part in ‘God Gave Rock and Roll to You’, another KISS must-hear.”
