DAVE MUSTAINE Talks BUTCHER BABIES Joining MEGADETH's Upcoming US Tour - "When I Saw Them With The Nipple Tape, It Was Like, 'Oh My God! I'm Gonna Hear It From My Daughter'"

Butcher Babies recently announced they will be hitting the road with the legendary Megadeth this fall as part of the band’s Dystopia tour in North America. Also joining them will be Amon Amarth, Suicidal Tendencies, and Metal Church. The month long tour starts in Casper, WY on September 20th and concludes on October 16th in Camden, NJ. In addition to the tour, both Butcher Babies and Megadeth will be performing at this year’s Ozzfest Meets Knotfest event, which takes place on September 24th & 25th in San Bernardino, CA.

In a recent interview with WRIF’s Meltdown, Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine revealed what made him decide to bring the Butcher Babies out on the road, saying it began with an interview conducted by vocalist Carla Harvey:

“I had no idea who she was. Besides being intimidatingly attractive, she was very, very professional. I don’t want to say anything disrespectful because I don’t know her, but I thought she was a television personality, and then when I found out after the fact, I was, ‘Wow! That’s interesting.’ When I did a little research on them and I saw them with the nipple tape, it was, like, ‘Oh my God! I’m gonna hear it from my daughter.’ I’m glad they stopped that, but it was funny because she had said that they stopped doing it because it hurt. And I was thinking, ‘Yeah, I can imagine. If I was putting electrical tape on my balls every day, it probably would hurt too.'”

Speaking about their enthusiasm for the upcoming tour, Butcher Babies vocalist Heidi Shepherd states, “We’re incredibly honoured to join forces with some of our idols, legendary musicians and bands! Megadeth is a staple in metal music and we can’t think of a better way to round out our 2016 touring schedule than with these metal gods. Who didn’t grow up with a Megadeth poster glued to your wall with dreams of dreams of sharing the stage with them. Bucket list… Check!”
