According to The Blast, BUTCHER BABIES singer Carla Harvey has filed for divorce from her husband of five years.
Harvey and Gregory Coates were married on April 14, 2012 and she lists the date of separation as January 15, 2018. She cites irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.
The former couple did not have any children and she does not want either side to collect spousal support.
This past March, Carla and ANTHRAX drummer Charlie Benante went public with their relationship. Although they had been dating for at least three years, they apparently chose to keep their romantic involvement quiet. But that all changed when Carla posted an Instagram photo of her with Charlie, along with the following caption: “THANK YOU for always being there for me when I need you most. I love you @charbenante”
Back in 2015, Charlie named BUTCHER BABIES‘ sophomore album, “Take It Like A Man”, as one of his favorite releases of the year.
Benante was previously married to Sandra, with whom he has a 13-year-old daughter, Mia Charley Benante.
BUTCHER BABIES spent more than a year touring in support of its third album, “Lilith”, which was released in October 2017 via Century Media.
The band is currently working on its fourth LP, tentatively due before the end of the year.
