ULI JON ROTH Teaming Up With JENNIFER BATTEN, ANDY TIMMONS For The Ultimate Guitar Experience North American Tour

Uli Jon Roth’s The Ultimate Guitar Experience in coming to North America in spring 2016. For this exciting project, Uli invited two major league guitarists to join him. The tour will celebrate the art of guitar playing at the highest level.

Jennifer Batten is well known for her association as Michael Jackson’s guitarist as well as playing second guitar for several years to none other than one of the greatest guitarists of all-time, Jeff Beck. Jennifer is a highly individualistic player in her own right who performs an exciting multi-media show. She is an accomplished master of the two-handed  tapping technique.

Andy Timmons is currently resident guitarist in Simon Phillips band and plays guitar with a very soulful sensitivity as well as great dexterity. He will perform material from his latest album, Sgt Pepper.

All three protagonists will first perform a set of their own, but will also play together in a spectacular grand finale.

The band comprises of renowned lead-singer John West on vocals, who already sang for Uli on his last US tour, Niklas Truman (guitar & vocals), Richie Monica on drums, Nico Deppisch on bass, Corvin Bahn on keyboards and Uli’s protegé, David Klosinski on guitar, who is opening the show with one of his own compositions.

Uli’s set will feature songs drawn from his entire career, including the best of Scorpions Revisited, Electric Sun, Transcendental Sky Guitar and Sky Of Avalon, as well as Jimi Hendrix.

Says Uli: “I’m really looking forward to this tour and I’m sure that between the three of us – and the audience – sparks will fly (positive ones, of course)! We will all play our own separate sets first and then play some pieces together, which should be great fun! We are also presenting a new concept related to VIP Pass holders only, because each night – before the main show, during sound check – we are going to perform a dedicated Acoustika Concert, featuring different songs from those of the main event for the VIP Pass holders exclusively.

“In that context, you are also going to be able to be present at an onstage rehearsal of some of my new songs for the next album. This is an unusual idea, but I always felt that songs are benefiting greatly from being played in front of a live audience – before actually recording them – and I am sure that this will help us to galvanize things and to fully crystallize the new material that I have written.

“We have never tried this before, but I feel that this is a new and exciting idea. So, please – if you can make the time – help us to make it happen by participating and joining us for the private pre-show event!”
