According to The Pulse Of Radio, THE OFFSPRING has returned with a brand new song called “Coming For You”. The new studio recording was accompanied by a video that features photos of the band playing various music festivals. The track is the first new music from THE OFFSPRING since the band issued its ninth album, “Days Gone By”, in 2012.

The band teased the new single with a series of parody Facebook posts that took images of posters for classic movies such as “Star Wars”, “E.T.” and “Jaws” and incorporated the band’s logo and the song title into them.

THE OFFSPRING is expected to release its tenth studio effort later this year, although further details on a release date or title for the new album are not yet available.

The Pulse Of Radio asked guitarist Kevin “Noodles” Wasserman a while back about THE OFFSPRING‘s tendency to take several years to make a new record. He said: “You know, there’s times when, you know, we’ll call management and go, ‘We’re not done yet. What’s the label saying? Are they pissed?’ ‘Ah, don’t worry about it, you know, we’ll get by.’ ‘OK, good, that’s what we wanted to hear.’ The pressure really hasn’t ever been bad, because we have been around for a while and we’ve had a certain amount of success, people kind of leave us alone to do it the way we do it best.”

The group spent 2014 on the road promoting the 20th anniversary of its breakout album, “Smash”, which the group performed in its entirety at a number of shows.

The band has just one date on its schedule at the moment, in Tempe, Arizona on April 4.
