SHINEDOWN Announces Summer Tour; New Album Due Later This Year

Atlantic Records recording artist Shinedown has announced plans for a very special summer tour, the multi-platinum certified rock band’s first major trek in more than two years. The dates will see Shinedown visiting theatres and other intimate venues across The United States, performing a unique set that will include classic hits, deep cuts, and best of all, new songs from the band’s hugely anticipated fifth studio album.

The tour gets underway July 9th with the first announced date taking place at Tulsa, OK’s Brady Theater on July 14th, and then continues into August, with additional dates to be announced soon. ShinedownNation members will have access to pre-sale tickets and VIP packages beginning Tuesday, April 14th, in advance of the general on-sale starting on April 17th. “We have a lot in store for 2015, and beyond. We have been working on our fifth album, for the better part of two years, and it is almost complete. That being said we felt it was time to return to the road to let everyone know we are 100% back, and ready to entertain!” says Shinedown’s Brent Smith.

In addition, Shinedown has also slated a series of top-billed festival performances, with highlights including Rock Fest XV (July 16th) and Moondance Jam (July 18th). Further festival appearances will be revealed soon.

Meanwhile, Shinedown is currently hard at work in a Los Angeles studio putting finishing touches on the eagerly awaited follow-up to 2012’s Amaryllis. The as-yet-untitled new album will arrive later this year. The band has been posting photos from the studio on their social media outlets and a collection of those photos can be seen via imgur.
