KINGHITTER Featuring CORROSION OF CONFORMITY’s Karl Agell Rework Band Name; Live Dates Announced

North Carolina’s KingHitter are getting ready for their first live shows since their hometown return mid-July. Performing next weekend at Reggie’s 42nd Street Tavern in Wilmington (NC) and the following evening at The Mill in Charleston (SC), the shows will be the first to debut the band’s recently altered name.

“We have decided to make our name one word,” states vocalist Karl Agell. “Most people know my political allegiances are the polar opposite of some of the miss noting of our name since the release of our EP. I absolutely love our name and feel that by making it one word, the mistakes that we have been seeing shall not be made as easily.”

Hard at work writing new songs for their planned full length debut, the band has been encouraged by fan and media response to the release of the self-titled EP released earlier this year.

Agell is currently featured on the recently released Teenage Time Killer’s debut album, Greatest Hits Vol. 1. “Devil In This House” features Agell with Foo Fighters Dave Grohl and Corrosion Of Conformity’s Reed Mullin. Agell will be appearing with the supergroup at their first US performance on September 12th at the Fonda Theater in Hollywood.

KingHitter features guitarists Scott Little and Mike Brown, bassist Chuck Manning, drummer Jon Chambliss, with Agell. James Lugo (Fuel, Matt Sorrum, 311) produced the band’s five-song EP released March 24 via Restricted Release. It is the first recording to feature Agell (Corrosion of Conformity) since his days with Leadfoot.
