SLIPKNOT and STONE SOUR singer Corey Taylor recently took part in The Rock Reel‘s “Stronger Than All” challenge. He was asked to hold a five-kilogram solid steel hammer with his arm stretched out to the fullest and hold it as long as he could. You can now watch the results below.

STONE SOUR‘s new album, “Hydrograd”, will be released on June 30 via Roadrunner Records. The disc was recorded at Sphere Studios in North Hollywood, California with producer Jay Ruston, who has previously worked with ANTHRAX and STEEL PANTHER.

The band tracked the album live in the studio, cutting a total of 18 songs from which 15 will make the CD.

Taylor previously stated about “Hydrograd”: “We have six singles on this album. I’m really excited. This album is great because it’s got elements of everything. It’s got the heavy energy of the ’80s, there’s punk moments, there’s hard rock moments — all the great amalgam of music. There’s even jazz and hip-hop moments; it’s really, really cool. It’s probably the coolest album I’ve made since the first SLIPKNOT album. I feel very confident making that statement because it’s so good.”

STONE SOUR has had eight Top 10 songs on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Songs, dating back to “Bother” in 2002. The band has landed three top 10 albums on the Billboard 200 and has sold 2.1 million albums in the United States to date, according to Nielsen Music.
