Florida-based death metal veterans CANNIBAL CORPSE have recorded the theme song to the “Squidbillies”, the bizarre animated series on Adult Swim.
The band stated about how the collaboration came about: “The producers of ‘Squidbillies’ hit us up a few weeks ago and asked us to record the theme song for their Halloween episode that aired last weekend.”

“Squidbillies” returned for its tenth season this past summer.
According to The New York Times, the show, which began in 2005, is about a family of anthropomorphic squid who live in the mountains of Georgia, interacting with the human and other populations there, and embodying every backwoods stereotype there is, including lack of education, fondness for motor sports and possible incest.
