Brian Tichy lascia i WHITESNAKE!!!

E’ con grande rammarico che i Whitesnake annunciano la dipartita del grande Brian Tichy; pare che il batterista abbia appena comunicato a David Coverdale il proprio abbandono, per concentrarsi sul progetto SUN (Something Unto Nothing) iniziato con la talentuosa cantante / chitarrista Sass Jordan. Il bassista e cantante, Michael Devin, anch’egli membro attivo dei SUN, rimarrà con Whitesnake.

Coverdale ha dichiarato: “Siamo veramente tristi di vederlo andarsene, ma, sosteniamo pienamente le sue ambizioni e, sinceramente, gli auguriamo ogni bene. Il suo drumming impavido è stato di enorme apporto alla musica dei Whitesnake, e con lui si era creato un vero tuttuno. Buona fortuna, Brian … Che il sole possa brillare su di te! ”

I Whitesnake hanno iniziato la ricerca di un nuovo batterista. Ci sono diversi musicisti in lizza.

Un portavoce del gruppo ha detto che l’accaduto non influenzerà le prossime date del tour per il 2013.

Whitesnake regret to announce that powerhouse drummer, Brian Tichy, has told David Coverdale this morning he is leaving the band to pursue the SUN project he started with gifted singer/guitarist Sass Jordan. Bassist & singer, Michael Devin, also a participant in SUN, will remain with Whitesnake.

Coverdale said: “We are truly sad to see him go, but, we fully support the pursuit of his ambitions & sincerely wish him well. His fearless drumming brought a relentless driving edge & to our music that we fully embraced. Good Luck, Brian…May the SUN shine brightly on you!!”

Whitesnake have begun the search for a new drummer. There are several musicians already being considered.

A spokesman for the band said that this will not affect the forthcoming tour dates for 2013.
