AVENGED SEVENFOLD Announces U.S. Tour Dates With VOLBEAT, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE

AVENGED SEVENFOLD will hit the road with VOLBEAT, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE and AVATAR this fall. This run will kick off on September 12 in Bonner Springs, Kansas and wrap up on September 21 in Nashville, Tennessee. Get your pre-sale tickets using the password “AVENGED” starting Wednesday, June 22 at 10 a.m. local time. Public on-sale begins June 24 at 10 a.m. local time (except for for Grand Rapids, Michigan, which starts 12 p.m. noon local time).

The dates are as follows:

Sep. 12 – Bonner Springs, KS – Providence Medical Center Amphitheater
Sep. 14 – Grand Rapids, MI – Van Andel Arena
Sep. 15 – Toledo, OH – Huntington Center
Sep. 20 – Fort Wayne, IN – Allen County War Memorial Coliseum

KILLSWITCH ENGAGE will participate in select dates only.

It’s not clear when AVENGED SEVENFOLD will release its seventh studio album, since the band announced earlier this year that it was attempting to sever its contract with Warner Bros. Records.

At the end of 2015, AVENGED SEVENFOLD notified Warner Bros. that they would not render services to the label, citing Section 2855 of the California Labor Code, which limits the duration of personal-services agreements to seven years — the so-called seven-year statute.

The label sued the group in January for breach of contract, claiming the band owed it another studio effort and a live set on its existing deal.

The band said in a statement: “Since we signed with the label, Warner Bros. has had three different regimes, multiple heads of marketing, and none of the senior management or A&R executives who were at the company and responsible for signing us are still there.”

AVENGED SEVENFOLD‘s previous two releases, 2013’s “Hail To The King” and 2010’s “Nightmare”, both topped the Billboard album chart.

The band’s new drummer, Brooks Wackerman, joined AVENGED last year after the departure of Arin Ilejay.
