AGHAST! Release “Something Else; Something Rotten” Lyric Video

Taken from the forthcoming Something Else; Something Rotten EP, Hertfordshire, UK extreme metallers Aghast! have released a lyric video for the title track, produced by Andy Pilkington of Very Metal Art.

“We’re are not a political band,” vocalist James Anson states, “but we always write about what effects us, or things that we feel strongly about in our daily lives. “Something Else, Something Rotten” is a song about ordinary people struggling to make a living in a world which is weighted in favour of faceless corporations. It is a call to action that is perfectly visualised by Andy Pilkington from Very Metal Art. Andy took our idea and ran with it and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Learn those words!”

Aghast! have been making waves of late, first with the announcement of Something Else; Something Rotten EP, which is also a collaboration with US based dubstep and D&B label Abducted Records and more recently with a UK tour in support of the new record.

With the band’s upward trajectory Aghast! have gotten the attention of the New York based Extreme Management Group, a deal has been signed and this new found partnership has given the band a home on a roster with well known acts such as Suffocation, Cattle Decapitation, Cryptopsy, Origin, Decrepit Birth, Atheist, Rings of Saturn, Internal Bleeding and more.

Bassist Daniel Henderson comments, “We are delighted to be welcomed into the Extreme Management Group family! We look forward to grabbing this opportunity with both hands. It is an honour and a privilege to share a roster alongside many of the bands that inspired us to make music in our early years as well as some of our new favourites.”

EMG’s Matt Young adds, “We are excited to welcome Aghast! to the EMG roster. The band have proven in since their existence they are force to be reckoned with having already achieved great things. Aghast! joining the EMG roster will ensure their place in the international scene is solidified as they justly deserve. Exciting times ahead for both the band and management and you can be sure you’ll be seeing much more of Aghast! in the future.”

The band have also revealed the first in a series of teasers for the forthcoming EP where the viewer is taken behind the scenes in the recording of Something Else; Something Rotten.

Something Else; Something Rotten is out October 3rd via Abducted Records. Catch the band live across the UK. Dates on the flyer below:
