AC/DC Bassist Puts Florida Home On The Market For $6.95 Million

According to Naplesnews.com, AC/DC bass player Clifford Williams this week put his 13,223-square-foot, seven-room south Fort Myers mansion on the market. He’s asking $6.95 million for the house on Longwater Chase Court, along the Caloosahatchee River with Gulf access, Lee County land records show. Williams bought the home for $5.1 million in 2010 and the total sale was $6.2 million, which included furniture. The home, which is in the Gulf Harbour Yacht & Country Club, sits on 2.5 acres and also features seven full bathrooms, two half bathrooms and two guesthouses.

AC/DC have unveiled a behind-the-scenes clip from their latest video, “Rock The Blues Away”, below. Taken from from their latest album, Rock Or Bust, was shot in Los Angeles in February after the band performed for the first time at this year’s Grammy Awards. The videp was directed by the band’s longtime collaborator David Mallet and features an enthusiastic crowd of real fans who came from all over the world just to be part of this historic taping. Rock Or Bust was released in December and immediately topped sales charts around the globe. The album has thus far sold nearly 2.8 million copies worldwide. 

According to Licensing.biz, Epic Rights and Perryscope are joining forces to develop worldwide licensing, retail and ecommerce programmes to support AC/DC’s Rock Or Bust tour.

Perryscope is a NY-based licensing and merchandising company which represents clients including Pink Floyd, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Genesis, The Police and David Gilmour among others.

The principals of both firms – Norman Perry, president of Perryscope and Dell Furano, CEO of Epic Rights – have had a long history of working with AC/DC.

“AC/DC has always been the top seller of band merchandise and has an incredible archive of artwork, photos, tour logos and imagery,” said Perry and Furano in a joint statement. “AC/DC merchandise designs are some of the most famous in rock, including Highway To Hell, Back Tn Black, High Voltage and For Those About To Rock, among others.”

AC/DC’s North American dates kick off on August 22nd in Foxborough, MA at Gillette Stadium and run through September 28th in Los Angeles, CA at Dodger Stadium (see below for full list of dates). Tickets available via Ticketmaster. Previously announced European dates on the Rock or Bust World Tour begin May 5th in Holland and run through late July.

AC/DC last toured the world from 2008-2010 with the Black Ice World Tour, which had the band playing to over 5 million fans in 108 cities in over 28 countries. The Black Ice World Tour earned AC/DC a Pollstar Award for Major Tour of the Year in 2010.
