Texas heavy rockers DROWNING POOL have announced the second leg of their “Sinner Unlucky 13th Anniversary” tour, on which the band is playing its 2001 debut album “Sinner” from start to finish.

The “Sinner” album arrived in June 2001 and featured the monster single “Bodies”, plus follow-up rock radio hits “Sinner” and “Tear Away”.

Original DROWNING POOL singer Dave Williams, who appeared on “Sinner”, passed away from heart disease on the band’s tour bus in August 2002, while the group was out promoting the record.

DROWNING POOL has released a video for the song “Soul”. The clip is comprised of archived live performance video featuring Williams and is being released via the band’s new Indiegogo campaign, designed to raise money for the American Heart Association in his name. The band’s goal is set at $13,000, all of which will go to the AHA. Donators of $30 or more will receive a special “In Memoriam” t-shirt adorned with Williams‘ image.

DROWNING POOL guitarist C.J. Pierce told The Pulse Of Radio that the best part of the “Sinner Unlucky 13th Anniversary” shows has been playing some cuts live again for the first time in years. “There’s a couple of songs on the ‘Sinner’ record that we hadn’t played since Dave passed away,” he said. “‘Sermon’, ‘Mute’, ‘All Over Me’ — songs like that. So it’s just fun to play those again. It’s also fun to, you know — I wouldn’t necessarily say relearn it, I just haven’t like physically played the song in 13 years and written five other records since then, so when you go back to it, it’s like, ‘What am I doing here? Why did I do this?’ So that’s fun.”

The group said about the disc: “‘Sinner’ represents that amazing time in DROWNING POOL‘s career when things really started to take off. It reminds us of that raw ernergy and excitement we had when we first got our music out there… For us to be able to play the whole ‘Sinner’ record for our fans is such a great opportunity.”

“Sinner” has been reissued in a deluxe 13th anniversary edition featuring demos and other bonus content.
