Phil Anselmo, attuale cantante dei Down ed ex leader dei Pantera, ha confessato che reunion della band texana è possibile, integrando Zakk Wylde alla chitarra al posto dello scomparso e ormai leggenda Dimbag Darrell Abbott.
Anselmo anticipa che non può certo parlare per il resto della band, in particolar modo per Vinnie Paul Abbott (fratello di Dimbag), ma può affermare che la possibilità è concreta.
Ecco le parole di Phil:
“Mettiamola in questo modo; mi manca il feeling che provavo con i Pantera, la sensazione che provavo mentre camminavo sul palco durante quelle canzoni di fronte a orde di fans. Ma questo è solo un mio desiderio. Per quanto riguarda una ipotetica reunion la porta è aperta; pur non potendo sapere cosa passa per la testa di Vinnie, so che sicuramente la ferita è ancora aperta per lui e per tutti. Io provo affetto per lui anche se i media cercan di far credere il contrario, specie quando fanno girare dei rumor di una reunion senza fondamento. Ad ogni modo, prima che questo possa accadere, io e Vinnie dovremmo sederci uno di fronte all’altro e parlare dei nostri problemi e ovviamente risolverli. Ad oggi, questo giorno non è ancora arrivato, ma ripeto che da parte mia la porta è spalancata“.
