I Dissimulation sono un’altra band proveniente dalla Lituania per l’etichetta Ledo Takas, label che ha sempre un occhio di riguardo per le band della propria patria. Dopo l’ottimo album dei Luctus, la label lituana ci presenta il terzo album dei Dissimulation, creatura nata nel lontano 1993, dedita anima e corpo ad un thrash metal, che prende spunto dalla scena europea – Kreator, Sodom, Destruction – infarcito di spunti molto vicini al black metal più oltranzista e sporco. Le ritmiche non sono mai veloci ma si attestano su tempi medi tipici del thrash metal, mentre le chitarre sfornano riff a volte cadenzati e ritmati e a volte più veloci e incisivi. La voce invece è prettamente black metal, uno scream molto acido e alto.
Tutto sommato ci troviamo di fronte ad un buon album old school, molto interessante per gli amanti del black degli albori, anche se i Dissimulation, a dispetto delle grosse influenze ottantiane, preferiscono ad un approccio più furioso e veloce, un trend più ragionato e moderno, perfino nella produzione, molto incisiva e potente. Certo non ci troviamo di fronte ad un album che farà storia, ma i Dissimulation dimostrano di avere passione e attitudine vera, che si riflettono nella loro musica, ideale per far rivivere i fasti degli anni ottanta.
