Slash (GUNS N’ ROSES) and Vinny Appice (BLACK SABBATH, DIO, LAST IN LINE) are among the musicians who took part in the “Rock For Recovery” benefit concert on February 26 at Paladino’s in Tarzana, California. Former GUNS N’ ROSES drummer Steven Adler was also supposed to perform at the event but did not make an appearance.

Video footage of Slash and Appice playing a cover version of the DIO classic “Rainbow In The Dark” at the concert can be seen below.

It’s being speculated that Adler will have some limited involvement — such as a guest appearance — at some of the upcoming GUNS N’ ROSES reunion shows, which currently feature original members Slash, Axl Rose and Duff McKagan.

GUNS N’ ROSES has six shows scheduled so far, all in April: two at the Coachella Music And Arts Festival, two in Las Vegas and two in Mexico City. The exact band lineup has yet to be confirmed.

Appice, along with bassist Jimmy Bain and guitarist Vivian Campbell, was part of the original DIO lineup, which reunited in 2012 alongside singer Andrew Freeman to form LAST IN LINE.

LAST IN LINE released its debut album, “Heavy Crown”, on February 19 via Frontiers Music Srl. The CD was recorded at a Southern California studio with producer Jeff Pilson, a veteran bassist who has played with DIO, FOREIGNER, DOKKEN and T&N, among others.
