On Tuesday January 27, POISON singer Bret Michaels returned to Detroit, Michigan to perform at a sold-out NBA halftime concert during the Detroit Pistons vs. Cleveland Cavaliers game at the Palace Of Auburn Hills. Video footage of his appearance can be seen below.

“The Pistons Concert Series halftime performances are another opportunity to thrill our fans and add value to the overall game night experience,” said Harlan Hendrickson, Vice President of Marketing for Palace Sports & Entertainment and the Pistons.

A sports fanatic since birth, Michaels was honored to bring his rock and roll party to the NBA, this pair of storied basketball franchises and their fans.

“Around the NBA, both Pistons and Cavs teams in particular have an amazing amount of talent with a passionate, sports-minded fan base,” Michaels said prior to the game. “The showdown between Pistons star Brandon Jennings vs Cavs star and MVP LeBron James is one for the ages and we are bringing the right mixture of rock and roll to help set the vibe.”

Michaels released a new solo single, “A Beautiful Soul”, in April 2014. He also performed the track on “Oprah’s Lifeclass”.

His last CD, “Bret Michaels: Jammin With Friends”, was released in June 2013 and featured a myriad of legendary guests, including Joe Perry (AEROSMITH), Loretta Lynn, Jimmy Buffett, Ace Frehley (KISS), Michael Anthony (VAN HALEN) and members of LYNYRD SKYNYRD.
