Newly-founded international thrash’n’roll metal band, Taipan, have begun the process of selecting guests for their sophomore release, due to start recording in February. Alpha Omega Management announce that among the guests is Venom Inc.’s Tony Dolan (pictured above).
Taipan just released their debut album, Straight From The Underground, on October 31st. Although their debut album has only been available for one month, Taipan has already been nominated for thrash album of the year, along with such heavy-hitters as Slayer and Battlecross. Taipan was recently signed to Fono Records in Russia, also home to bands like Battlecross and To Die For.
Taipan’s sophomore album will include two guests from the first CD. Both Tony Campos (Fear Factory, Soulfly, Prong, Ministry) and Chris Poland (Megadeth, OHM) will be recording songs for the second album and be making select guest appearances to perform live with Taipan in 2016.
Thrash The Gods – Vol 1 will be a collaboration of some of the biggest and most respected names in metal, brought together by Michael Black and Sergey Mordashov, co-managers for Taipan and creators of the project. Taipan retains solid members like Drew Petropoulos, Zak Kupcha and Michael Black, but has chosen to record with many popular bands in order to show respect to the Gods of metal. In essence, Taipan is culmination of respect and dedication to all the amazing musicians that have inspired the band.
Guests for Thrash The Gods – Vol 1 include: David “Shred Demon” Shankle (Manowar, DSG), Tony Dolan (Venom Inc.), Jack Gibson (Exodus), Kirk Windstein (Crowbar), Chris Poland (Megadeth, OHM), Nick Menza (Megadeth, OHM), Tony Campos (Fear Factory, Soulfly, Ministry), Jessie Sanchez (BBB, Others, Fear Factory).
More guests to be announced as Taipan’s second album is being recorded.
