TONY IOMMI Remembers LEMMY - “Sex, Drugs And Rock N’ Roll… He Really Lived That Life, And He Loved It”; Video

Motörhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister passed away on December 28th at the age of 70 following a brief battle with an aggressive cancer. Speaking with BBC Midlands Today about Lemmy’s passing Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi discusses how he remembers the legend:

“I think Lemmy is the epitome of rock and roll, you know. He’s always lived a wild lifestyle. It’s the whole thing – sex, drugs and rock n’ roll, and he really lived that life, and he loved it.”

Iommi’s bandmates, past and present, have issued the following messages in tribute:

Ozzy Osbourne – “Lost one of my best friends, Lemmy, today. He will be sadly missed. He was a warrior and a legend. I will see you on the other side.”

Geezer Butler – “Very sad to hear of Lemmy’s passing. We’ve lost a true, true legend. RIP.”

Bill Ward – “Lemmy, RIP – so sorry you’re gone. I stand with the countless souls who will miss you, and who love you very much.”
