Mark “Kinky Pork Cream” Kopernicky of The Exalted Piledriver remembers his friend and former Piledriver bandmate, bassist Rob “Lobo Elf Snort ” Tollefson – who just passed away after battling cancer – with the following eulogy, submitted exclusively to BraveWords:
“As you know former Exalted Piledriver bassist Rob ‘Lobo Elf Snort’ Tollefson has passed away from cancer. I first met Rob when I got asked to audition for the band by former manager Ray ‘Black Metal’ Wallace. After I joined I spent the next six years playing shows and having lots of laughs and adventures. Rob was an excellent bass player… a big party guy… and loved a good laugh. We usually shared hotel rooms on tour… which meant that ear plugs were required… while his bass sound was monstrous… so was his snoring. Haha… he would have laughed at that. Even after we both moved on to other things, we kept in touch and remained friends. So when I found out he had passed away… it was a huge shock. He kept his illness secret from a lot of us… I’m sure he had a reason… but one thing is forsure I never expected this to happen.
Rest in peace my friend… I’ll miss you.”
