STRIKER Announce Edmonton, Calgary Stand In The Fire Album Release Shows

Set to unleash their new album Stand In The Fire via their own Record Breaking Records label on February 5, 2016, Canadian new wave metallers Striker have announced they will be performing CD launch shows in their hometown of Edmonton on January 22nd along with Calgary the following day on January 23rd.

“The Stand In The Fire album launch shows are going to be the biggest and best shows we have ever put on. We really want to do something special for this album launch, and we have been planning these Edmonton and Calgary shows for months now. If you’ve ever wanted to see a stadium sized show in a smaller venue, this is your chance! On top of that, everyone who comes out to the shows will be getting a free copy of the album!” comments guitarist Tim Brown.

The launch shows will also be the band’s kick off concerts for their European tour with Primal Fear beginning in Barcelona, Spain on February 5th.

The Edmonton show will take place at the Starlite Room and the Calgary concert will be at Dicken’s Pub. Each show will start at 8 PM and tickets are available at Concert Works.

Striker is offering a free download of their new track “Too Late”. Get it here, and listen to the track below. The band has also recently posted the official video for the track:

The band comments on the video: “For this video we wanted to channel the essence of Bon Jovi, but with less hairspray and more metal. It’s hard to go wrong with a well done performance video, and we decided to put a modern twist on it with all the slow motion, color, and moving lights in the background. We like to bounce back and forth between the high concept videos like our Keg Monster videos and simpler things like this; we need to show people what it’s like at a Striker show! More pyro next time I swear!”

“Too Late” audio stream:

Stand In The Fire is Striker’s most uncompromising record to date. A record packed with incredible riffs and colossal anthems, all laced together with epic harmonies. Inspired by legendary bands like Iron Maiden, Striker wear their hearts firmly on their battle jackets, soaking up the power and influence of classic rock and metal.

The band; Dan Clearly (vocals) Tim Brown (lead/rhythm guitars) William Wallace (bass) Adam Brown (drums) recorded the album themselves with the help of Randy Black (who filled in on drums while Adam was away…) and mixing genius Frederik Nordstrom (Bring Me The Horizon, In Flames, Opeth) giving them not only the time and space needed but the freedom to set up the release direct to fans worldwide.

“We’re so excited about having our music, our ideas, and our future in our own hands – ushering in a new era for the band of decisive action, dedication and forward thinking. Live life by one rule: No Limits!” – Tim Brown
