SIKTH Streaming New Mini-Album In It’s Entirety

British progressive metal forefathers Sikth’s new mini-album, Opacities, is set for release on December 4th (vinyl on January 22nd) and sees the band linking up with Peaceville. A full stream of the upcoming release can be found below.

Recorded at Lincoln’s Chapel Studios and produced by  Dan Weller and Justin Hill (mixed by Forrester Savell – Karnivool, Animals As Leaders, Dead Letter Circus) vocalist Mikee Goodman hails Opacities as the best music the band have ever made, stating, “musically, vocally and lyrically it is our most complete work. We’ve pushed our sound to the next level.”

Tracklisting:

“Behind The Doors”
“Philistine Philosophies”
“Under The Weeping Moon”
“Tokyo Lights”
“Walking Shadows”
“Days Are Dreamed”

SikTh recently launched the video for “Philistine Philosophies”. Vocalist Mikee Goodman explains some of the ideas behind the video: “I thought the band should be presented as individuals. I felt a full band performance shot was not right for us. Was a really intense editing process.  I created full screens beforehand to play behind the band. The animation and puppet design was by a man called Gavin Sodo I worked with before. I think they look amazing. In order to create places that look out of this world, I thought this was the best way.“

Along with the new record, December will also see the band touring the UK following recent shows across the world in Germany, Japan, India and Nepal showing that while they were away their music and influence continued to spread.

UK dates with Hacktivist and Feed The Rhino supporting:
