OF MICE & MEN‘s Aaron Pauley has been “cleared” to return to the road at the end of the month. The vocalist/bassist underwent surgery in early April to have some precancerous tissue removed and will now rejoin his bandmates on tour on April 27 at the So What festival in Houston.

Earlier today, Aaron wrote on Twitter: “Got the call from my doctor following up with results from my surgery. It was a success! All of the precancerous tissue was completely removed, and I get my stitches out on the 24th, meaning I’m officially cleared to return to the road for our first show back on the 27th!”

OF MICE & MEN pulled out of the first six shows of its U.S. tour with BEARTOOTH so that Pauley could have enough time to recover from his surgery.

Last month, OF MICE & MEN scrapped its concert in Hartford, Connecticut after Pauley was taken ill. That medical issue was apparently unrelated to his most recent surgery.

OF MICE & MEN recently released a video for a new song called “How To Survive”. The clip was directed by Zev Deans (DENZEL CURRY, GHOST).

OF MICE & MEN spent much of the fall hunkered down in the studio working on new material with producer Josh Wilbur.

“How To Survive” is the first taste of new music from the Southern California quartet since last year’s much-praised “Defy” album.

“Defy” marked OF MICE & MEN‘s first full-length release without vocalist Austin Carlile, who left the group due to his ongoing battle with Marfan syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that afflicts the connective tissue holding the body’s cells, organs and tissue together.
