No New KORN Album For Another Year, Says JONATHAN DAVIS

KORN fans will likely have to wait another full year for the band’s follow-up to 2016’s “The Serenity Of Suffering” LP.

Singer Jonathan Davis, who is promoting his recently released debut solo album, revealed a tentative timeline for KORN‘s next disc during a brand new interview with WhatCulture.

Asked about the progress of the songwriting sessions for KORN‘s upcoming effort, Davis said: “[Guitarists] Head and Munky have been writing with a couple different producers, working on riffs and putting them down, cataloguing everything. We’re gonna get together as a band in July and start putting their ideas together in the studio and start working on it. So, yeah, it’s in the future, definitely. When I get back after this European [solo] run, I start writing vocals for the stuff that they’ve done. We’re gonna keep working through the year, so hopefully we’ll have one out, probably, this time next year.”

Davis recently shot down as false Internet speculation that the band is using outside writers for material for its next studio album. “We’re writing everything; we’re still writing our own music,” he said in an interview conducted last Friday (May 25) at the CD-release event for “Black Labyrinth”.

KORN will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of the group’s classic third album, “Follow The Leader”, by playing three U.S. concerts at the end of the summer. The shows will take place on September 12 at the Masonic in San Francisco, September 13 at the Palladium in Los Angeles, and September 15 at the Pearl Theater in Las Vegas.

It has yet to be confirmed but it is likely that KORN will perform the album in its entirety at those shows.

Davis heads to Europe next month in support of his new disc.

KORN plans to embark on a full tour of some kind in 2019, although no further details have been revealed.
