Nearly 100 Phones Stolen At WHILE SHE SLEEPS Concert In London

According to the Evening Standard, nearly 100 fans had their cell phones stolen by a gang of thieves during last week’s concert in London by the British metalcore act WHILE SHE SLEEPS.

One of the fans in attendance, Daniel Snow, whose £450 Galaxy S8 was ripped off, said that he was told by security that 50 phones were swiped during the first three songs of the March 1 show. “Some people were really angry, a lot were stressed but we were massively upset by it,” he said. “The gang were clearly organized. Metal fans are a great community. No real fan would do something like this.”

Conor Burke, who had his £300 grey iPhone 7 stolen, said: “I didn’t feel anything and I couldn’t see it on the ground. I went to lost property, stood there for an hour talking to other people and there was just a constant flow of people coming out saying, ‘We’ve had our phones nicked.’

“From the people I saw and talked to, and the amount of people coming and going, I’d say there was a minimum of 100 people. It was just ridiculous — it ruined the gig.”

A spokeswoman for the Metropolitan Police told the Evening Standard: “Police have received 14 individual reports from people who stated that their mobile phones had been stolen either inside or outside a concert venue.”

WHILE SHE SLEEPS‘s latest album, “So What?”, was released on March 1 via the band’s own Sleeps Brothers label through Spinefarm. The disc was recorded with producer Carl Bown at the group’s studio Sleeps Audio.
