Il 27 ottobre 2012, il palco del Milk, storico locale situato nella capitale russa, ha ospitato 4 musicisti di fama mondiale, ovvero: il batterista Mike Portnoy (DREAM THEATER, AVENGED SEVENFOLD), il bassista Billy Sheehan (STEVE VAI, DAVID LEE ROTH), il chitarrista dallo stile metal neo-classico Tony MacAlpine (STEVE VAI) ed il tastierista Derek Sherinian (DREAM THEATER, PLANET X, BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION).
Questa nuova “superband” si è esibita mettendo insieme pezzi provenienti da esperienze soliste dei singoli componenti, brani tratti da precedenti collaborazioni e drum/bass/guitar/keyboard solo. Un all-instrumental set di tutto rispetto.
Portnoy ha dichiarato: “I knew when assembling this lineup that it would be a magical musical experience that would be a blast for us as well as the fans! I can’t wait to play again with these tremendous musicians and share the experience with you all at these special shows!”.
