METALLICA‘s rumored North American summer stadium tour with AVENGED SEVENFOLD and VOLBEAT is expected to be announced this coming Monday, February 13. Both METALLICA and concert promoter Live Nation posted the same short, seven-second video earlier today with the word “Monday” featured in the same font style as the band’s new album, “Hardwired… To Self-Destruct”.

METALLICA‘s first North American tour in eight years will reportedly consist of at least twenty shows stretched out over a couple of months.

Whether the rumors are true or not, bassist Robert Trujillo told The Pulse Of Radio that METALLICA is looking forward to getting back on the road in the U.S. “Oh yeah, it’s exciting, you know,” he said. “We haven’t spent enough time in the States in recent years and it’s been a while, so rather than going and hanging out in Europe and spending a lot of time there before we come to the States, we’re actually hitting the States first. And that’s something that I’m really excited about, because it’s been a while. It seems like people are hungry for METALLICA again and they’ve been waiting a long time.”

METALLICA will be touring in support of “Hardwired… To Self-Destruct”, its first all-new studio effort since 2008’s “Death Magnetic”.

METALLICA just played three shows in Copenhagen, Denmark and is scheduled to perform at the 59th annual Grammy Awards on Sunday (February 12) in Los Angeles. The band is also slated to play an intimate concert for around 3,000 or so fans at the Hollywood Palladium that same night.

METALLICA‘s sole other North American date so far is May 21 at the Rock On The Range festival in Columbus, Ohio.
