Caparison Guitars has welcomed Adam Dutkiewicz of Massachusetts metallers KILLSWITCH ENGAGE back into the family.

Many people who have caught KILLSWITCH ENGAGE during their recent tour have already seen Adam owning the stage with his new Angelus-M3B and TAT Special models. Caparison Guitars are also the only choice for Adam in the studio as KILLSWITCH work towards their new album release.

In a 2013 interview with Ultimate Guitar, Dutkiewicz was asked how he works out guitar parts with fellow KILLSWITCH axeman Joel Stroetzel. He responded: “We keep that pretty easy. It basically ends up being just whoever writes the parts to that song, they end up kind of doing them live. You know what I mean? It’s that kind of situation.”

Asked what goes through his head when he does a solo, Adam said: “It’s pretty formulated, actually. I kinda don’t wanna just make it all licks. It’s good to have elements of melody and something that makes it a little bit more memorable instead of just, ‘Well, check out my parts.’ You know what I mean? Moreso like just kind of a musical interlude instead of, ‘It’s all about the guitar solo. Check it out.’ Yeah, that and I’m not really that great of a player anyways. It’s moreso just meant to be a break from the vocal onslaught, I suppose.”

Founded in 1995, Caparison Guitars are hand crafted boutique instruments made in Japan and to the highest quality and specification. Their aim is to make the highest possible quality and best sounding guitars that you will ever play.
