FRAMESHIFT Mastermind HENNING PAULY Posts New Instructional Clip For Guitar - "The Theory Behind Blues Scales"

Frameshift mastermind Henning Pauly, who continues to take over YouTube with gear updates and instructional videos, has checked in with the following:

“Before we get into all the playing, let’s look at some of the harmonic background and WHY it makes sense to play the notes we play!”

Following are a few of Pauly’s previously issued instructional clips:

“Now that we’ve covered the pentatonic scale and its 5 positions (here) we will take a closer look at where the b5, the Blue Note, is located in all of them. We attack different approach than most lessons. These concepts are great for heavier music; just look at what Zakk Wylde does. Metal players use this stuff all the time!”

Pauly recently checked in with the following news:

“At Musikmesse 2015 we’ll show the Mjolnir, Thor’s Hammer, but it is a 15 watt tube head for metal, so I thought we combine the two and actually make a hammer out of the amp just because it would be cool and people would stop and look. We’ll see if it works. Here’s how we built the second one!”

Pauly spoke exclusively with BraveWords and let us in on this latest project:

“Here’s the deal..

We’ve developed a lunchbox amp – metal – pretty much similar to the Engl Ironball or Mesa Boogie Mini Rectifier, but obviously cheaper and more flexible in some ways. I know metal guitar players, so I convinced the company (Joyo) to not name this thing Thunder but instead name it Mjolnir because it kinda looks like the head of Thor’s hammer.

So, I went further. I had them send me two empty ones and actually turned them into hammers for the Musikmesse. We’ll have two there, one being wielded by a two meter tall monster named Joachim, who will be dressed as Thor. The other one will be ‘hammered’ into a 4×12 behind him.

I will be there all four days promoting the products and especially Mjolnir if any remaining fans want to stop by and check out this monster amp. It’s a serious metal monster that will probably retail for less than 500 Euros.”
