Santa Cruz hardcore band BL’AST! has inked a deal with Rise Records. The group has just released a two-song EP, “For Those Who’ve Graced The Fire”, featuring BL’AST!‘s first new music in over 20 years.

Joining core BL’AST! members Clifford Dinsmore and Mike Neider in the band’s current lineup are Nick Oliveri (KYUSS) and Joey Castillo (QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, DANZIG). Oliveri and Castillo, however, were forced to sit out the recording sessions for the new EP due to touring obligations and were replaced by Chuck Dukowski (BLACK FLAG) and Dave Grohl (FOO FIGHTERS, NIRVANA), respectively.

A longtime BL’AST! fan, Grohl remastered their 1987 album “It’s In My Blood” for Southern Lord in 2013.

BL’AST! released several albums on SST Records in the ’80s and broke up in the early ’90s. They reunited to play some shows in 2001 but otherwise remained dormant until now.

“For Those Who’ve Graced The Fire” will be officially released on October 30 and will be followed by a new BL’AST! full-length album.
