CRADLE OF FILTH Backing Vocalist LINDSAY SCHOOLCRAFT - "I'm Glad That I Didn't Give Up When People Would Tell Me I Wasn't Good Enough"

Cradle Of Filth backing vocalist / keyboardist Lindsay Schoolcraft has checked in with the following message:

“It’s been 15 years since I started taking music seriously and I feel lucky that to this day all I have to write, rehearse, or perform never feels like ‘work’. I’m glad that I didn’t give up when people would tell me I wasn’t good enough or put me down. And I’m grateful for the people who trust me and take a chance on me every day to grow and prove myself. Even at this point there are still struggles I face, but they are worth it because the outcome is much greater than the turbulence in-between. And I didn’t do it alone either: I’ve been fortunate enough to have a few good ones who’ve selflessly helped me along the way.

I hope that where ever you currently are on your path that you find strength and stay the course. It definitely doesn’t happen overnight, but if you focus and commit I promise there will be success and many surprises too.”

Schoolcraft recently checked in with the following news:

“I’m so ecstatic to finally announce that I’ve lent out my voice and harp playing to no other than my film idol Terrance Zdunich (Repo! The Genetic Opera) on his newest project American Murder Song with Saar Hendelman!”

Terrance Zdunich and Saar Hendelman (The Devil’s Carnival), known as American Murder Song, are gearing up for their third EP, which they’ve dubbed III: The Reckoning. Schoolcraft will be narrating the track “June”.

On III: The Reckoning, American Murder Song plans to explore the desperate crimes of those devastated by The Year Without A Summer. The track “June” follows Schoolcraft as the narrator who, “…bemoans the fate of her family farm, a property that she inherited by way of bloodshed, that is now useless due to the agricultural ruin brought on by The Year Without A Summer.”

Arch Enemy vocalist Alissa White-Gluz has also joined the cast of American Murder Song.

Says Alissa: “I’ve been collaborating with some very cool people for a very cool project recently. You know I LOVE musical theatre, so when Terrance Zdunich and Saar Hendelman asked me to take part in their unique new horror musical project, of course I said yes! Welcome to American Murder Song, where I act as the subject of a song for once rather than the author. I got to work with some old friends like Chibi Birthday Massacre and some new ones like Aurelio Voltaire to create something very different and interesting!”
